Jason is committed to our environment. He helped lead eleven cities in a groundbreaking effort to adopt the Community Choice Energy, offering valley residents a choice of cleaner power: 100% carbon-free, cleaner, greener electricity at competitive rates. Jason worked with colleagues throughout the region to ban plastic bags countywide, and voted to add solar panels to the county library building. As a lawyer, Jason worked for years suing companies who polluted our water or exposed their workers or the environment to deadly toxins. Jason was a leader on getting Campbell’s LED light replacement program started, because LEDs are better for the environment and the city’s budget. Both in transportation planning and land use decisions, Jason has fought for solutions, including good public transit, bikeable walkable communities and transit oriented development that help reduce greenhouse gasses.
